*If you shaved or used hair removal creams, wait 2 weeks
*4 weeks between waxes
*Please note if you were shaving, your wax might not come out clean

Tips for First-Timers

  • You will fill out a consent form online once you arrive, or we may send you the link-
  • Don't be embarrassed -we do this all day long and will walk you through every step!
  • Let your hair grow, do not shave prior. Hairs should be as long as a grain of rice for the wax to grab onto.
  • You can take an ibuprofen or Tylenol type pain medication 20-30 mins prior if you would like.
  • Do not drink alcohol or caffeine - you will be more sensitive.
  • Take a Hot shower before the appointment to open the pores in your skin.
  • ALWAYS moisturize and exfoliate daily -it will help the hairs release easier.
  • Try not to schedule appointments around your menstrual cycle- your skin will be more sensitive.
  • However, If you book an appointment is at that time- wear a tampon and tuck the string.
  • Seven days prior, stop taking any antibiotics or topical skin lotions that have retinol or skin thinning agents in them- This will cause the top layer of your skin to lift, which can cause redness, burning, and scabbing.
  • Waxing every 4-6 weeks on average will allow all 3 stages of hair growth to come back and be waxed; some people do like to wax every 3 weeks, which is perfectly fine- ask about our Monthly Waxing Memberships!
  • We have many Haus of Wax products for pre and post-care at a minimal cost.
  • If you have any questions after your wax session or may notice some hair, please give us a call; we always want to make sure we provide the best service possible!!
  • We have a 5 min late policy to keep our waxers and clients on schedule. If you are going to be late, call us to accommodate you and the waxer. We completely understand that life happens, and sometimes changes will need to be made with your appointment.
